Yes, there really is a "Bubba's
Garage" located in Newport, Indiana in the alley behind
the Lion's Club during the famous Newport Hill
Climb. The garage wuz
started as a ideer of Bubba's when a friend fouled a plug many years
ago on a '38 Oldsmobile and no help wuz to be found! Ever since then
"Bubba" and his mechanic friends have worked on vehicles
in the alley at Newport.
Bubba's is a "non-profit" group
supported by Bubba and friends. For many years now they have offered
No-charge auto repair at the Newport Hill
Climb. Whil'st yur waitin' fur yur car, you can have a free moon pie
and an ice cold coca cola. Cain't beat free!
In the off season (everyday
'cept in the first weekend in October), Bubba and Bubba's
garage may be found on another alley in Indianapolis, Indiana. Ya'll
come down and visit now, ya' hear!
